Cornwall Scouts will be at the Royal Cornwall Show 2026, and we’re inviting adult volunteers to be part of our team.
Right now, Cornwall has around 500 young people on waiting lists, all keen to join Scouts. Being at the Royal Cornwall Show is a brilliant chance for us to talk to the public about Scouting today – and, crucially, to encourage more adults to get involved in a way that works for them.
We’re focusing on adult recruitment across all roles, highlighting flexible volunteering and our team‑based approach to Scouting. You don’t need to have all the answers or commit to a traditional weekly role. Many of our volunteers share tasks, support each other, and volunteer in ways that fit around work, family and life.
At the Royal Cornwall Show, adult volunteers will help:
- Chat to members of the public about Scouting
- Share real stories about flexible volunteering
- Support simple activities and engagement
- Be friendly, welcoming faces for Cornwall Scouts
Whether you’re a long‑standing volunteer or completely new to Scouts, your support will help us reach more people and open up opportunities for young people waiting to join.
